About The Book

H.X. Sin has crafted a novel that pushes the lines in every direction. He began by developing his own linguistic rhythm and word play to twist the brain making the main characters life story as confusing to the reader as it is to himself. This is not a book most will understand and never claims to be. The narrator delivers his personal critic of the world couples with a deep wisdom of life. Layered with social satire the antagonist ponders the world around him wondering why ignorance begets ignorance he is torn between his loathing of human nature and his desire to lead mankind away from its own destruction. Yet above all else he must never give up to the pressure of other peoples beliefs and always following his own personal moral code.

I’m caught off-guard as Alisa pushes me against the wall. I try to think of her as my sister because I’d only let a sister get away with something like this, a very sexy sister. I disturb me. Alisa has never bothered to dance around my celebrity. It’s the only kind of assistant I’d have.
“You have no tact,” Alisa says.
“I’ll just have to woo her until she learns that I’m not as bad as I seem. When in reality she’s changed me into a better man. We’ll fall in love and get married.”
“That only happens in the movies,” Alisa says.
“That’s what she wanted, she came here with those hopes and I’m the one responsible? I have to waste my time with tact? I’m sorry if Hollywood has presented us with a confusing reality.”
“We don’t need jokes out of you.”
“Who’s joking? I’m only saying what I want in a humorous way.”
“That’s just it,” Alisa jabs a finger in my chest, “you only say what you want.” Alisa storms off to somewhere. I’m yelling after her, “If I’m not talking for myself who am I? Whose words should I be saying? This old hags?” I point to my publicist.
“Why say anything to anyone if you’re going to be an asshole?”
