If Kisses Were Bullets... A Sick Romance Novel by H.X. Sin Available through- and |
"...I'm a blunt no-screwing-around guy. There was a time I would have grabbed you by the shirt and thrown you against the wall. These are kinder gentler days. I'm lowering my cholesterol, eating right and exercising." "Good job." "Thanks." Bad cop sets his feet up on the desk. "To tell you the truth I've always felt my job was to talk people out of their intelligence. A guy kills a woman out of hatred, spite or whatever. I've gotta ask him or convince him to tell us what happened. The guy has a good chance of getting away with it and I have to trip him up." |

What The Book Is About H.X. Sin has crafted a novel in an attempt challenge everything. He began by developing his own linguistic rhythm and combined it with a stylistic design in the hopes of taking books a step forward. In simple words that is what the book is about, going forward. The nameless main character fights to break free from the vicious circles of how things are done. He ponders the world around him wondering why ignorance begets ignorance he is torn between his loathing of human nature and his desire to lead mankind away from its own destruction. Yet above all else he must never give up to the pressure of other peoples beliefs and always following his own personal moral code. But it's not easy when you've been accused of murder. If Kisses Were Bullets... works its way through the history of the main character. We read from his perspective as love and life cut him short. Like the police and everyone around him we wonder if there was something in his past that could have created a brutal serial killer or was he in the wrong place at the wrong time or are his paranoid delusions real and he's being set up? Like in real life you may never discover who did it. Or can you? |
How The Book Came To Exist If Kisses Were Bullets... is partly based on a true story. It took H.X. several years to complete and when he was done he knew that getting the book published would be difficult. He refused to change it to make it more "saleable" according to the big publishers. "There are too many interconnected and tightly packed elements to change anything and besides f#*$ them" It took several more years and some good friends before the possibility of getting the book published came into view. Middle Muse Publishing was launched with the sole purpose of reaching out to other writers like H.X. who had written a good story but would never see their books in print due to difficult marketability. Be one of the first to pick up what Middle Muse Publishing calls their flagship novel.
