Every Home Should Fit in a
Mid-Sized Sedan.
When I moved into my first apartment, I was acutely aware of the pain from moving and packing furniture. A handful of apartments later and I can now say for certain that the worst part of apartment life is piling things into boxes, carting them downstairs only to cart them back upstairs, and unpack them. That's not counting the hassles of wrangling friends to help you to move-- or the hassle of trying to get big screen TVs out doorways hardly large enough for a human. It was these pains that made me think about the impracticality of having "home" furniture in an apartment. It's just not worth manhandling your entertainment center. Not to mention that renting a truck for multiple days is expensive, too much trouble... and I only had a mid-sized sedan

How to Write
Part 1
Before you set pen to paper or thoughts into plots (rhyme accidental) you must first decide what kind of writer you wish to be. I say wish because there are droves of self help pieces posing as “writing tips” out there. If you could magically become a writer by declaring it then the literary world would be destroyed. An example comes to mind with self-publishing. I admit it is pretty cool to have something you written nicely bound and printed but paying someone to do it does not make you a writer or published even if it’s called self-publishing. Part of the way to being an authentic writer is being published by a company that discriminatingly selects works and prints them for the mass public to see. |
